Cambridge Tango (“CamTango”) is the original tango club of Cambridge, founded in 1997. What is Cambridge Tango like? In a few words, what we aim to be is: fun, sociable, elegant, relaxed, musical, free, comfortable. Argentine Tango is like all human knowledge – the more you learn and know, the more you find out that there is yet more to learn and to know. If you wish you can enjoy tango during the first hour of your contact with it, but it can take you a lifetime to master it.
Typically we are finding that people in the Cambridge tango community start to really enjoy dancing tango in Cambridge after having done a couple of courses, a bunch of drop-in lessons and danced a few times each week.
Everyone is different, everyone can dance their own tango.
Cambridge Tango has been established for over 17 years and is situated right in the heart of Cambridgeshire, East Anglia, England, UK. The nearest airport is London Stansted, which is about 30 minutes away by car. Cambridge train station is about 10 minutes walk from our main Tuesday evening venue. London is about 1 hour and 15 minutes drive from Cambridge, so people sometimes go there and vice versa.
