What's it all about?We have been very lucky in receiving teacher training from quite a few of the professional teachers that visit Cambridge. The primary teachers guilty of passing on secrets are Rodolfo and Miho. Stephanie and I learnt a lot from Rodolfo and Miho by shadowing them while they were teaching. Basically we followed them around and observed them. In the breaks (of the classes) and after each class we would usually have long discussions about what they had done and why. Sometimes the discussions went to 5am...... We learnt a lot this way, and regarded it as a teaching apprenticeship. Not that we do not have more to learn. We always try and take lessons with other tango teachers and have discussions about teaching with them if they are willing to. We are very happy to share what we have learnt and think the best way to do this, now, is to offer that you shadow us teaching a tango course, if you want to observe how we teach tango. It is not for free, of course, but not expensive either.
