On Duty Dances

Duty Dances exist. In my opinion. Mostly, they are something that Boys (particularly Boys That Everyone Likes To Dance With) need to be concerned about. Here are some examples of dances that are your Duty, you lucky Boys.

1. When I go to a dinner or a coffee with a Boy prior to the milonga, and we arrive to the milonga together, I will be exceedingly hurt if he does not ask me to dance first upon arriving at the milonga.

2. When I am doing Something Special In Public with a particular Boy (such as: leading a class with him or doing a demonstration or performance with him) then I always feel like that Boy ought to dance with me several times before the event occurs. To warm me up and make me feel safe about the Improvisational Experience that is pending.

3. When I have done A Huge Favor for a Divinely Dancing Boy From Out Of Town (such as: letting him stay at my place while he is in town or arranging workshops for him or helping him get his visa renewed) then I ought to reasonably expect that this Boy will chivalrously ask me to dance now and then, wen convenient, during his visit to my town of residence.

4. When I am hostessing a party, All The Boys I Like To Dance With should see to it that I am having a nice time and dancing as much as I please.
