First time in Cambridge for this DJ with a big reputation. Elena started DJing after several years of dancing socially, and now regularly plays at milongas, marathons, and festivals across Europe. Of Italian origin, she has lived in various countries in Europe and South America, and her tandas and cortinas carry the flavour of these places. Her sets include a majority of Golden Age music, intertwined with hidden gems from the 1930s and, occasionally, some modern orchestras. As a DJ, she is known for balancing energy, softness, and emotion– without forgetting a good dose of fun. Her golden rule: ‘I DJ from the perspective of a dancer: if the music doesn’t move me, I don’t play it!’
